23 Mediators Completed an Intensive Course in Peki'in

The Mediation Center in Peki'in is the fifth center launched as part of our project establishing local mediation centers in Arab towns. This month, 23 mediators from Peki'in completed the intensive training course in mediation with an emphasis on the strengths of the community, familiarization with the local culture, and the ability to play the preventive and explanatory role in the struggle against crime in towns in Arab society.

The volunteer mediators serve in the mediation centers established in collaboration with the local authorities in each town, and with their support. The concluding session and the distribution of certificates was conducted with judges from the Druze and Shariya religious courts who supervise and take part in the mediators' training.
