The symposium, sponsored jointly by the Jewish Museum in Vienna and the Salzburg Global Seminar, brought together leaders, politicians, and civil society organizations working in war and conflict zones worldwide. The conference accompanied a new exhibition on peace at the Jewish Museum in Vienna, in which the UNESCO Peace Education Award given to Givat Haviva in 2001 was displayed. Givat Haviva loaned the award to the museum for the coming months.
