Awards & Prizes

• "The UNESCO Prize for Peace Education 2001 was awarded to the Jewish-Arab Center for Peace at Givat Haviva, in recognition of its role as a world leader in peace education, and for "the work done for the resolution of conflict through dialogue."
• Children Teaching Children was chosen out of 200 projects by Walt Disney Worldwide and EXPO 2000, to participate in their Millennium Exhibitions in Hanover, Germany -- a world exposition of creative and innovative projects that contribute to building a peaceful future for humandkind.
• Givat Haviva was awarded The Israel Education Prize in 1993 for conducting a center for teachers' enrichment studies in the subject areas of coexistence and democracy.
